Key character in London Olympics 'visa scam' surfaces after brother's death

Lahore, July 29 (ANI): The main character in the alleged London Olympics 'visa scandal' case, has come out of hiding after his brother passed away.

The accused, Abid Chaudhry, alleged that the scandal had resulted in his brother's death from a heart attack.

Abid appeared before the media, saying his family had been in constant agony since the scandal emerged, and pleaded with the government and the judiciary for justice, reports the Daily Times.

Abid had gone underground after a joint investigation team of the FIA and NADRA launched a crackdown against those involved in the alleged scandal. His family said he went into hiding due to threats to his life, adding that he would only appear if summoned by the court. (ANI)
