Antony in Srinagar, reviews security situation in Valley

Srinagar, July 28 (ANI): Defence Minister A. K. Antony on Saturday arrived here on a two-day visit to review the security situation in the Valley.

Accompanied by Army Chief General Bikram Singh, Antony will chair a unified command meeting here this evening.

Antony and the Army Chief will also interact with troops deployed in the forward locations in the state.

He is also expected to discuss the demand of the state government for withdrawal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) with the government and army officials during the visit. He will also hold discussions with chief minister Omar Abdullah and Governor N.N. Vohra. (ANI)
