Policeman's body found in Delhi canal

New Delhi, July 27 (IANS) The body of a Delhi Police head constable was found in a canal here Friday, said police. The official was missing since Wednesday.

Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

Sunil, 32, was a reader in the business department of Delhi Police headquarters.

Police first located Sunil's i10 car near the Bawana canal in west Delhi Thursday.

"We began searching for him in the canal with the help of divers," said a police official.

Sunil had come to office Wednesday, and later in the day went missing, said the official.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
