New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Law Minister Salman Khurshid on Wednesday mocked social activist and anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare and his associates with a suggestion that that they could take their grievances to the United Nations.

While interacting with reporters here, he said, "They (forum of civil society members and India Against Corruption) should now write to the United Nations, as there is no other body in India which is more independent than the Supreme Court. They want to set up an independent probe for the orders rejected by the Supreme Court on issues that they concluded dependently and not independently."

It may be recalled that team Anna had demanded the setting up of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe charges of corruption against 15 cabinet ministers.

They also sought the transferring of cases against chiefs of political parties that are being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the SIT.

Team Anna had demanded for setting up of fast track courts to dispose off cases against lawmakers within six months. (ANI)
