New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office V. Narayanasamy on Wednesday denied the allegations made by Team Anna that the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) activists created a ruckus during their indefinite fast at the Jantar Mantar here, saying the Congress is not a party of violence and follows democratic principles.
Narayanasamy said the allegations are unfounded and not based on facts.
"I would like to say very clearly as far as the Congress Party is concerned, Congress workers are concerned, whether it is NSUI or youth Congress or parent organisation, we are not a party of violence. We will follow democratic principles," said Narayanasamy.
"The allegation, which they are making is unfounded It is not based on facts and it is unfortunate they are making this allegation against NSUI," he added.
Narayanasamy further accused Team Anna of diverting the attention of the people of the country through their allegations.
"It is not acceptable and in fact they are trying to divert the attention of the people by making this."
According to reports, suspected NSUI workers created a ruckus at Team Anna's Jantar Mantar venue here earlier in the day when Arvind Kejriwal was sitting in protest along with his other team members includidng Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai .
Team Anna volunteers chased the persons who were trying to disrupt and alleged that they were NSUI members, who wanted to harm Kejriwal. (ANI)
