Sydney, July 25(ANI): American swimmer Michael Phelps entered the pool at the London Aquatic Centre for the first time on Tuesday, and claimed the atmosphere and feeling was just like it was in Beijing four years ago.
Phelps's coach, Bob Bowman, said the swimmer who won eight gold medals in 2008, has improved his training since the U.S. Olympic trials a month ago.
"I asked Michael, 'How's the pool?' and he said 'It feels just like Beijing'. He thinks it's fast," News.com.au quoted Bowman, as saying.
It all seems to be falling into place for Phelps after a late push for him to be ready for his fourth Olympic Games.
Phelps was defeated by American rival Ryan Lochte in his first two events at the U.S. trials (the 400m individual medley and 200m butterfly), but improved through the meet to get one back on Lochte in the 200 m individual medley final and claim both the 100m and 200m butterfly. (ANI)
