London, July 25(ANI): Arsenal's legendary striker Thierry Henry has expressed a desire to make a comeback at the Emirates, but in a coaching role capacity, and the Frenchman is poised for talks with boss Arsene Wenger in this regard.
"Eventually I'd like to go back to Arsenal. I don't know how, it depends. Seriously, I don't know (what it will be). I just want to finish my career (first)," The Telegraph quoted Henry, as saying.
"I would go back to England, for sure, with Arsenal. Coaching does interest me but I really don't think about it right now," he added.
Henry joined New York Red Bulls in July 2010 and is understood to be coming into the final year of a three-year deal after which he will decide whether to carry on playing.
Henry said the only club he wants to work for is Arsenal who he left in 2007 after nine years at the club, once his playing career is finished.
The former Barcelona star returned on loan last January, making four appearances, but ruled out the prospect of this happening again next year, although he may train again with the club to maintain his fitness.
"I don't plan to go back (again to play for Arsenal) and I didn't plan to go back and play last time," Henry said.
"It was only because the guys (strikers Gervinho and Marouanne Chamakh) went to the African Cup of Nations. They asked me if I wanted to play, and that's it. I was there to train," he added.
The prospect of Henry eventually joining Arsenal's back-room staff would be tempting for Wenger given the influence he has over the players. (ANI)
