San Francisco, July 22 (ANI): The Musical Glasses, available through Luna and Curious, are marked with the notes of a chromatic scale, making it easy to play the right notes for your glass harp orchestra.
The leaded crystal in these and some other wine glasses is what makes them reverberate when a musician (or miscreant) runs his or her finger across the rim, Wired.com reported.
The markings on the side correspond to the level of fluid that produces the correct note in this specific shape and size of glass.
At around 60 dollars for a set of two, a 12-note octave is pretty expensive. But it's also a project you can do with any wine glasses, if you have a tuner and a way to gently etch a set of normal glasses.
Either way, fill them to the appropriate level - or better yet, drink them down to it - and ask your guests to sing or play along. It may not sound quite like Igor Sklyarov, but that's what the wine is for. (ANI)
