Nigel Lythgoe plays 'agony aunt' to Katie Holmes during split

London, July 16 (ANI): Katie Holmes, who recently parted ways with Tom cruise is said to have found solace in the company of American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, during the last few weeks of her divorce settlement.

According to a source, the actress has been talking regularly with Lythgoe, also known as "Nasty Nigel" since the time when he was a judge on 'Popstars', the Sun reported.

Holmes, who is all set to make her first public appearance since the split at a charity fundraiser for the 'Dizzy Feet Foundation' on July 28 in LA, will also host the event alongside the 63-year-old producer and a bloke called Adam Shankman, who directed Cruise's film Rock Of Ages.

"Katie has been in regular touch with Nigel recently as they organise the event. They're hosting a party together to raise money for her charity in LA later this month," the source said.

"Cat Deeley will be there, too, because she hosts Nigel's show 'So You Think You Can Dance'.

"They should invite Katie to the UK, away from any menacing motors following her," the source added. (ANI)
