The work has been entrusted to the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation.

She further stated that this would prove to be the new landmark for the capital.

Further it will ensure much awaited relief to the commuters resulting in huge savings in travel time and fuel consumption.

The chief minister also directed the agency to concentrate on quality construction and aesthetic values.

Dikshit instructed the construction agency to maintain cleanliness around all construction sites.

The right and left carriageway of 1.4 km length each on western approach main flyover will be opened to traffic by July 2012.

As far as loops on western approach are concerned three will be opened by November 2012 whereas other three are likely to be opened by June 2013.

The work between 65 to 90 percent has been completed these loops.

The right and left carriage way on the eastern approach main flyover, measuring length of 683 meters each, will be commissioned by December, 2012.

About 70 percent work on these carriageways has been completed. As far as work on eastern approach embankment is concerned, the main embankment, guide bund and launching apron is due to be completed by June 2013.
