New York, July 8 (ANI): A famous New York City's Naked Cowboy has threatened his rival, a Naked Indian, of lawsuit unless he merges himself with his company.
Robert Burck, the Big Apple's infamous Naked Cowboy who plays guitar in his underwear and a 10-gallon hat, said that he's the real deal while naked Indian whose real name is Adam David said that tourist spot has room for his gimmick too.
The 41-year-old cowboy who usually basks in the attention of tourists watching him play guitar in a 10-gallon hat and his skivvies at Times Square has been forced to watch his rival directly across the street on Broadway corral gawkers with his headdress and drum.
"I've been here . . . 365 days, everyday for 13 years and change," the New York Daily News quoted Burck as saying.
"He's only been here 16 days and missed two already," he said.
Though the Cowboy insisted that there was no bad blood between them, he threatened a lawsuit unless the Indian joined his company, Naked Cowboy Enterprises, a franchise that also included Naked Cowgirls and other entertainers.
David said that Times Square doesn't have enough gimmicks and then threw down some fighting words.
"No one was doing an Indian, (the Cowboy and I) have a word-of-mouth contract. This country was built on handshakes and word-of-mouth agreements. I don't lose, I always win," David said.
Though it was evident that naked cowboy was more popular.
"I'm Team Cowboy. He's cute, he's friendly, he's fun and he has a personality. He was flirty." 31-year-old Naomi Carrier, 31, of Union, N.J said.
16-year-old Sarah Levenphal, a Jersey native, mulled it over before choosing the clear winner.
"They're both nice. The Cowboy has a guitar and he sounds more melodic. The Indian doesn't sing," Levenphal added. (ANI)
