'Loss-making' RIM chief says 'there's nothing wrong with company'

London, Wed, 04 Jul 2012 ANI

London, July 4 (ANI): Embattled BlackBerry maker Research In Motion's (RIM) chief executive Thorsten Heins, stressed that 'there is nothing wrong with the company as it exists right now.'

Heins' remarks came in response to comments from analysts who said the company was in a 'death spiral'.

Last week, RIM said it was delaying the launch of BlackBerry 10, the next version of its operating system.

According to The Telegraph, the firm's shares fell 20 per cent after the announcement.

Ian Fogg, senior principle analyst at Screen Digest pointed out that 'what RIM really needs is this next generation product line to be a success and that delay is damaging them'.

"The market is losing confidence in RIM," the paper quoted Fogg, as saying.

"The management team at RIM has to speak up for their products," he added. (ANI)
