London, June 24 (ANI): Westlife Boy Band performed their last ever concert at Croke Park in Dublin, which was screened live to cinemas in the UK, Ireland and across Europe.

The chart-topping quartet Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Shane Filan and Mark Feehily are bowing out after 14 years in the business.

The group, who have scored 14 number one singles in the UK and more than two dozen top 10 hits, played their farewell show to 80,000 fans on Saturday night.

According to the Daily Mail, the concert brought the curtain down on a hugely successful career, which has seen them selling 44 million records and play to sell-out arenas across the globe, Sky News reported.

And even those without tickets were able to enjoy the gig on the silver screen in cinemas via a live satellite link.

The fans got a final chance to sing along to hits such as Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up, World of Our Own and Uptown Girl.

The boy band, which was originally signed by Simon Cowell, also played their penultimate show on Friday at Croke Park with support from Lawson, The Wanted and Jedward.

Prior to the show, the band's manager Louis Walsh, claimed that the last concert would be emotional.

"Will there be tears from me at the weekend? Yeah. I have never known a band like this and we have had an amazing time," he told the Daily Mirror. (ANI)
