London, June 23 (ANI): While English footie-mad men are failing to pay attention to their women in bedrooms, the snubbed spouses are forking out hundreds of pounds for some action on escorts.
According to reports this week, demand for male escorts has rocketed by 26 percent since the tournament kicked off on June 8, and the number of men signing up as gigolos to cope with demand has risen by 11 percent.
Escort Martin Preston, 26, from Preston hopes England go all the way so his diary stays booked up.
"Football tournaments are to male escorts like Christmas is to super- markets, the business keeps us going for the rest of the year," the Sun quoted him as saying.
Before the Euros, Preston averaged around three clients a week. Now he is struggling to cope with the workload.
"I've shot up from three to eight clients a week, it's absolute mayhem. I charge between 120 pounds and 800 pounds, depending on how long I spend with them and what we do, so my bank balance is benefiting beyond belief," he stated.
As well as attention-starved clients seeking affection, Preston said many women see football as the perfect opportunity to seek other company.
He said that many of the women he takes out, comment on how their partners lost interest in sex during soccer tournaments. (ANI)
