London, June 20 (ANI): Wayne Rooney showed off a new hairdo as he scored the winning goal against Ukraine on Tuesday during their group match with a header.
The Manchester United ace, who had a 30,000-pound hair transplant last year, pretended to spray his new weave after scoring in the 1-0 win over Ukraine that set up a clash with Italy in the in the quarter finals.
"I used a bit of Andy Carroll's product. Hopefully I'll end up with hair like him," the Sun quoted him as saying.
Rooney's admission he used pony-tailed ace Carroll's gel brought some ribbing from ITV footie pundits covering the night's game.
Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher joked: "Any lad born in Liverpool, in Croxteth, should not be wearing any product."
Rooney - returning from a two-match ban - nodded in a Steven Gerrard cross in the 48th minute to set up the Italy game on Sunday. (ANI)
