Sydney, June 19(ANI): Australia coach Mickey Arthur won't have any problems in playing exciting young fast bowling duo of Patrick Cummins and James Pattinson together for the first time during their upcoming one-day series against England.
Cummins and Pattinson have never played together in the senior team despite their performances having rejuvenated the national side in the past one year.
"I think there might be an opportunity down the line. We have a good stock of fast bowlers and there are places up for grabs. These three warm-up games are going to determine who plays. There is a lot to play for, certainly in the fast bowling department," The Age quoted Arthur, as saying.
The Australian team trained in Leicester on Monday for the first time on tour in gloomy conditions.
Arthur said he doesn't seems there is any issue in playing inexperienced pair of Cummins and Pattinson against the English batsmen before next year's Ashes tour.
"They would just analyse them anyway," Arthur said.
"I would rather see them getting some really good opportunities in some conditions out here in England that will broaden their game," he added. (ANI)
