New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): The two-day dialogue between India and Pakistan over the Sir Creek issue began here on Monday, with a view to finding a concrete and amicable solution to it.
Rear Admiral Farrukh Ahmed is leading the Pakistani delegation, while the Indian team is being led by Surveyor General, S Subba Rao.
Pakistan is expected to reiterate its commitment to resolving the issue in line with the content and spirit of a 1914 resolution.
The dispute over the 100-km estuary has hampered exploration for oil and gas and led to the detention of hundreds of fishermen from both countries when they stray across the poorly demarcated boundaries. (ANI)
