London, June 13(ANI): Former England boss Fabio Capello has revealed the heart-shattering pain he went through when he quit as Three Lions' manager.
The Italian walked out of the job four months ago, but insists he still feels a strong emotional bond with his players.apello, who is in Ukraine as part of UEFA's technical committee, revealed he felt a sharp twinge of regret watching 'his' England players take the field to face France on Monday.
"When the England players ran out against France, of course there was emotion. I felt it. England is part of me now. This is my squad, they qualified under me and I know many of them so well. It is difficult to accept, but it has happened," The Daily Mirror quoted Capello, as saying.
"It is difficult watching on television when you want to be on the bench. It is a big difference. The dream is to win trophies and to make the people back home happy. I miss it," he added.
"England is part of my heart - I worked with the players and the people in the country for four years," he said. (ANI)
