Sunny morning in Delhi, rain likely

New Delhi, June 11 (IANS) It was a bright, sunny morning for the capital Monday with the minimum temperature settling two notches above average at 30 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast some respite with light rains in the evening.

"Skies will become partly cloudy towards afternoon. Light showers and thunder development are expected towards evening. The maximum temperature will hover around 43 degrees Celsius," said an official from India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. stood at 42 percent.

Sunday's maximum temperature settled three notches above average at 41.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature recorded was 29.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above average.
