Hot Sunday for Delhi

New Delhi, June 10 (IANS) It was a hot morning for the capital Sunday with the minimum temperature settling two notches above average at 29.5 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast that the maximum temperature will shoot up to 42 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the skies will be partly cloudy through the day. The heat will intensify during the day and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 42 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 31 percent.

Saturday's maximum and minimum temperatures were both a notch above average at 40.6 degrees and 29.1 degrees Celsius respectively.
