BJP blames Congress for economic derailment

New Delhi, June 9 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized the ruling Congress party for the economic slowdown in the country.

Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, senior party leader, Rajnath Singh slammed the Central government for rampant corruption and wrong economic policies.

"The BJP feels that the economic system of this country has been completely derailed. This derailment is mainly due to the wrong economic policies, schemes, and corruption in the government," he said.

Singh drew attention towards the lack of investors' sentiment, saying, "The value of rupee is rapidly falling against dollar. A lot of foreign investors are returning to their countries by withdrawing their money from Mumbai markets, despite the fact that India had become a major hub of foreign investment."

urther, Singh raised doubts over the efficacy of the current economic model adopted by the country, and suggested the need for an alternative model.

"The economic model which our country has adopted, there is a need to think for an alternative model. The present economic model is not acceptable. The present economic model has led to an increase in poverty, unemployment and income disparity," he said.

Singh added that there was need for the Centre to review its economic policy as the people faced the brunt of the spiralling inflation, poverty and the widening gap between the rich and the poor. (ANI)

BJP are too busy currying favour with Congress Party opposition leaders such as Anna and Ramdev so what credibility do they have to critize anyone with any integrity? They are of course backing the wrong people and have a most inept leader who is making waves about a world crisis and blaming Government when any true Indian will not knock the economy of India and their investors who lose each time this inept man open his big mouth. Those investors who have lost should remember who are talking down India its not foreigners but BJP!
