Solar floating resort to give you comfort of luxurious hotel

London, June 8 (ANI): A designer has come up with the concept of a self-sustaining luxury floating island that operates entirely on renewable energy and is capable of travelling to the open seas, letting one view underwater life swimming around from a submerged observation bulb.

60 feet in length, the Solar Floating Resort is built to house six people and comes complete with Jacuzzis.

Each mini resort contains a large kitchen, dining room, lounge area, and a pilot room. It has the mobility of a top class yacht, but the comfort of an ultra luxurious hotel.

There is no price fixed for the Resort, but similar extravagant floating designs sell for prices around 100 million pounds.

The floating design echoes the villain's lair in the Bond film 'The Spy Who Loved Me' - and the underwater buildings from BBC's hit 'Octonauts', which any parent of young children will be all too familiar with.

According to the design, photovoltaic panels cover the sleek boat like a skin.

The films in the panels make use of a dye that absorbs light and transforms it into electricity for those staying on board.

The Solar Floating Resort was created by Michele Puzzolante, and an idea he says that is aimed at hotels with beaches.

"Solar Floating Resort is a unique building integrated photovoltaic hospitality concept, part habitation, part yacht and part submarine," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

"It is a totally self-sufficient energy generator, non-polluting and in unison with its natural surroundings.

"It is a hospitality product that will enhance the standards of front beach hotels and island resorts bringing them to a seven stars level.

"It has been designed like a luxury yacht and a luxury hotel suite, with a fully submerged observation bulb because the majority of people are fascinated by watching and photographing exotic fishes, dolphins, sharks and marine turtles," he added. (ANI)
