New Delhi, June 3 (ANI): Veteran social activist Anna Hazare, who teamed up with yoga guru Baba Ramdev for a daylong joint fast on the Parliament Street here today, said that their movement seeks to spread further awareness about graft, and added, that people having common ideologies, would congregate under one roof to intensify their fight.

"Today, we will tell the nations how we are going to carry forward our anti-graft movement and its direction, how we are going to get together and fight to root out corruption all day. This is what is going to be discussed all day," said Hazare.

"Until now, people are agitating separately against corruption, but now people with similar ideologies and thinking will congregate and fight against this issue together," he added, while indirectly issuing a stern warning to the UPA Government.

Hazare, who arrived in the national capital for a joint fast with Baba Ramdev earlier this morning, urged the masses from across the national socio-political spectrum to support the anti-corruption agenda with fervour and enthusiasm.

"All the people who are supporting Baba Ramdev across the country, and those who are fighting against corruption, must unite to undertake this movement," he said.

Hazare, who has so far been at loggerheads with the UPA Government over a strong Lokpal Bill, further said that he would he would announce the date of his nationwide mass movement against graft after discussions with his associates.

Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare began their daylong fast against corruption at the Parliament Street here earlier this morning against corruption and for their demand for a stronger Lokpal Bill.

Both Baba Ramdev and Hazare, who will highlight the demand for the return of black money stashed away by Indians abroad during their fast, visited Mahatma Gandhi's memorial at Rajghat earlier this morning. The two spent some time meditating at Rajghat. Baba Ramdev also visited the nearby Shahid Park.

This is for the first time that Baba Ramdev and Hazare are sitting on a joint fast. Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia will be joining Hazare and Ramdev during today's fast. (ANI)
