Nagaland Governor calls on state police to ensure ensure maintenance of law and order

Dimapur (Nagaland), May 27 (ANI): The Governor of Nagaland, Nikhil Kumar, has called on the state police to remain committed to their responsibilities and duties.

Speaking recently at the first Police Day of the Nagaland Police, Kumar, a former Commissioner of Police of Delhi, said the state police must rededicate themselves to serving the people of the state, and ensure the maintenance of law and order.

Governor Kumar felicitated several officers for their excellent performances.

Nagaland Chief Minister Nephiu Rio was also present at the function.

The first battalion of Nagaland Police was raised in 1964.

The Nagaland Police has won accolades for its excellent performance even when they are posted out of their region. (ANI)
