London, May 25(ANI): Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is in talks with French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) for a possible move after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Berbatov's agent Emil Danchev has said the PSG project really interests Berbatov, and he is keen for a move to get regular football under his belt.

"PSG's project can really -interest him because he wants to play in the Champions League," The Daily Star quoted Danchev, as saying.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to use the Bulgarian as a makeweight in a 14 million pound deal to land Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski.

But Berbatov has opened talks with PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti, who is a huge admirer of the Bulgarian, and reckons his experience could be vital in the Champions League next season.

The Qatar-owned outfit has millions at their disposal and Berbatov's valuation of around 7 million is well within budget.

Ancelotti can match Berbatov's 90,000 pound-a-week wages too and could even agree to a pay rise to land him.

The striker started just five league games for United last season and knows his time in Manchester is over. (ANI)
