London, May 25 (ANI): Bob Geldof has revealed that he crashed a couple's wedding celebration in India, but was stunned when a guest sang his band's chartbuster song.
The Irish singer was on a trip with his partner Jeanne Marine and they were so curious about a traditional marriage reception they overheard that they decided to join in the festivities, the Daily Express reported.
None of the guests realized who Geldof was, but they did recognize his music as one of the guests even sang his hit song 'I don't like Mondays'.
"How many times have I done I Don't Like Mondays - six million, but I'm not bored of it, seriously...,"the 60-year-old singer told the BBC Breakfast.
"I was in India a couple of years ago, myself and the missus (partner), and we were wandering down a street in Madras and next minute we heard this huge Indian wedding, this mega thing, so I said, 'Let's go in and have a look' and we went in and they brought us in and welcomed us and put us down beside the bride and groom, and they were doing karaoke - (they) hadn't a clue who we were!
"Next minute up comes I Don't Like Mondays and this guy leaped on the table and did this South Indian version of I Don't Like Mondays. That was fantastic," he added. (ANI)
