New York, May 23 (ANI): Dennis Rodman has revealed that he became 'unhirable' when he stopped drinking eight years ago, however, his agent, Darren Prince has something else to tell.
Rodman had claimed that people in the NBA "wouldn't touch" him when he was sober.
"I was boring," the New York Post quoted Rodman as telling ESPN's Mark Schwarz on Sunday.
But his agent, Prince, claimed that Rodman, who makes a huge part of his living by hosting nightclub parties, had scored plenty of work sober, including his first ad during the Super Bowl in 2005.
"Even in his prime with the Chicago Bulls in the mid-'90's, he never had a Super Bowl commercial," Prince said.
Prince revealed that Rodman's drinking has "sabotaged" opportunities for him - from commentator gigs on sports networks to television appearances after he appeared on "Celebrity Apprentice" in 2009, where he was fired after he drank on the job.
"I know if he got sober, he could get a coaching job. He could be a rebounding coach, possibly work in the front office," Prince said.
"We've had many discussions with TNT and others, and they all say the same thing - he's too risky, because they don't know if he's going to show up drunk or not show up at all," he added. (ANI)
