London, May 22 (ANI): Jessica Alba has been named on a list of creative business moguls, after the Hollywood star launched her own company.
The actress' website Honest.com, which was launched in January (12), aims to let parents know what ingredients and chemicals are used in baby foods and products.
She ranked in 17th place on the Fast Company's The 100 Most Creative People in Business 2012 after co-founding the web service with The Honest Company's Brian Lee.
Alba, 21, sought help from a parenting author after reading a book while preparing for parenthood.
"I read a book called Healthy Child Healthy World when I was seven-and-a-half months pregnant, and my eyes were opened to all of the toxic chemicals that are in everyday household and baby products," the Daily Express quoted her as telling Fast Company.
"So I went to the author of that book, Christopher Gavigan, and I hounded him for a year.
"I said, 'I appreciate you've given me a handbook, but you haven't given me a solution. Let's make the solution'," she said. (ANI)
