Wellington, May 22(ANI): Cheyenne Woods, a niece of ace golfer Tiger Woods, will be starting her professional golf career on the LPGA Tour this year.
Cheyenne, who is a graduate of Wake Forest University is the daughter of Tiger Woods' half-brother Earl, and has signed with the same agent as her 14-time major winning uncle.
Cheyenne said in a statement that she would seek sponsor exemptions during the summer to play in LPGA events before attending qualifying school later this year.
The 21-year old has already won a 2011 All-American and won two college tournaments including the 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship.
"We are excited about the opportunity to represent Cheyenne," Stuff.co.nz quoted Mark Steinberg, as saying in a statement.
"She had an outstanding career at Wake Forest and has the chance to be a major star on the women's golf scene,' he added. (ANI)
