London, May 21 (ANI): Manchester City have offered Roberto Mancini a new contract for three years, worth 15 million pounds, following the club's historic Premier League title win.
Speculation has been rife for the last six months that the manager of the Barclays Premier League champions would be offered a new deal at the Etihad Stadium this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak sat down with Mancini for talks in Abu Dhabi on Friday afternoon, which continued throughout the weekend.
City is believed to reward the Italian with a new three-year deal worth 5 million pounds a year, which represents a significant improvement from the 3.5 million contract that Mancini signed when he arrived at the club two-and-a-half years ago.
City hasn't been able to reach a complete agreement with their manager, leading to no final announcements yet.
However, the club is expecting to have the deal signed and sealed before Mancini leaves on a family holiday at the end of the week. (ANI)
