London, May 17 (ANI): Former world heavy-weight champion Lennox Lewis has said boxer Dereck Chisora should seek anger management therapy before his Upton Park grudge fight with David Haye on July 14.
"Chisora did a couple of bad things which, in football terms, brought the game into disrepute, and although he has apologised, that is not enough. Maybe he needs anger management therapy, some outside help, to draw a line under what happened in Germany," The Daily Mirror quoted Lennox, as saying.
Lewis described the controversial 'rematch' between Chisora and Haye as being in "poor taste", and an event undermining the sovereignty of British Boxing Board of Control.
"We are going through a disciplinary process right now and the British Boxing Board of Control is handling that. Should they be allowed to fight? Sure - but only when the time is right, when the disciplinary process has run its course," he said.
He also backed the board "one billion per cent" for suspending Chisora's licence after his shameful antics at his World Boxing Council (WBC) title defeat by Vitali Klitschko in Munich three months ago.
The July 14th fight is being staged under the banner of the Luxembourg Boxing Federation, who have threatened to make a mockery of the British boxing board's suspension of Chisora's licence two months ago. (ANI)
