London, May 16 (ANI): Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, who was heartbroken after losing to Manchester City in the Premier League, has said that his team's ready to get over the disappointment this year's title and will be coming back stronger than ever in the next season.
"Sunday was a difficult day for everyone. One minute you think we have won the title, then we haven't, which was heartbreaking. That is how it goes sometimes. We have to believe in ourselves. We have to look forward to next season and hopefully we can win some trophies," The Sun quoted Rooney, as saying.
"I am sure we will be back. We all believe in ourselves," he added.
The French skipper, 26, felt that with a fully-fit squad, they can wrestle back their crown from their neighbours by many points.
"We have given the title to City but if we play well from the beginning to end, we will win the title back easily. We received a lot of criticism this season but we have got nine points better than last season," the United Defender claimed. (ANI)
