Sydney, May 15(ANI): Australian batsman David Hussey's former agent, Essentially Sports Management Australia (ESMA), is suing him for than 300,000 dollars for non-payment of outstanding dues.
ESMA claims Hussey didn't pay percentages of his contracts with Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria, bat manufacturer Gray Nicholls and Indian Premier League (IPL) team King's XI Punjab as agency fees from 2008 to 2012, The Herald Sun reports.
The mass of ESMA's claim is 280,000 dollars, resulting from Hussey's 2.8 million dollar playing contract with his IPL team for the 2011-2012 season, along with further 140,000 dollars should the IPL franchise extend his contract to the 2013 season.
According to the writ issued by the Supreme Court of Victoria Hussey's contract details were negotiated by ESMA, who looked out for commercial opportunities for Hussey from 2005 to June 30 2011. (ANI)
