Srinagar , Mon, 14 May 2012 ANI

Srinagar, May 14 (ANI): An education fair held recently here to counsel students on making the right career choice turned out to be a hit with students and participants.

The event drew national universities and other reputed institutes of Jammu and Kashmir and counsellors poured in from all parts of the country to spread awareness and update the students on the fee structure, latest courses and curriculum on offer.

Ajay Bhatia, a counselor, said the fair was organised to inform students about the latest offerings in the education sector.

"Our students have got great capability, still opportunities are not available to those who reside in far flung areas. If facilities, infrastructure, curriculum is brought to the doorstep of the students, they will excel in their career," he said.

The fair was well received by the students, who said more such events should be organized in the region.

"This gives us an opportunity to flourish. We are being informed about courses like BBA, Mass Communication, BCA and B.Sc (IT). We want that in the future, programmes must be organised," said Sarfaraz, a student. (ANI)
