London, May 13 (ANI): An American company that had claimed it could hire out Pippa Middleton for 90,000 pounds a time has been exposed.
Celebrity Talent Promotions claims the Duchess of Cambridge's sister is available for "corporate appearances, speaking engagements, endorsements and autograph signings".
Beneath a photo of the party planner, the Florida-based firm boasts "We are a celebrity booking agency that also hires Pippa Middleton... as a keynote presenter for speaking engagements, trade shows, conventions and store grand openings", on its website.
It adds that, for a price, she can be booked for "event hosting, licensing deals, product endorsements, print advertising and television commercials".
The Daily Star, posing as a prospective client, was initially told they could hire her "for two hours" for an event in Los Angeles for between 18,500 pounds and 25,000 pounds.
"I'll have to check on those prices. She's such a hot property now because of the royal wedding," Celebrity Talent Promotions agent John Michaels said.
The following day his colleague Adam Plotkin called back.
"I pretty much run everything and I can tell you the prices quoted are way too low," Plotkin said.
He gave revised figures of 62,000-93,000 pounds.
"You have to understand that she is connected to royalty so there are security issues here. The final figure might even be much higher.
"We're talking about two or three first-class round-trip airline tickets from London, plus five-star hotel accommodation while she's here. If you email me all the details about your event we will forward them to her," he said.
However, it can be said that the firm's promises are pure fiction.
An official spokesman for Pippa promised an immediate investigation.
"This company does not represent my client and has no authority to make these claims about her on its website. We will be contacting them about this issue," the spokesman said. (ANI)
