New York, May 10 (ANI): Jessica Simpson, who gave birth to her first child Maxwell Drew Johnson with fiance Eric Johnson in Los Angeles on May 1, is beaming with pride over her new role as mom.
The 31-year-old singer took to her Twitter account on Tuesday to express her joy.
"I am so in love with baby Maxwell," the New York Daily News quoted her as writing.
"I want to cry every time I look at her.
"Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced," she added.
Simpson isn't the only one gushing over her family's new addition.
Her father, Joe Simpson, took to the micro blogging site last week to call his granddaughter "a miracle," while sister Ashlee told People she's "in love" with her new niece.
"Jessica has wanted to be a mom since we were little girls," Ashlee, who is mom to 3-year-old son Bronx, told the magazine.
"I couldn't be more excited for her and Eric!" she said. (ANI)
