Kolkata, May 7 (IANS) India's Look East policy was essential for the integration of the Asia Pacific region, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said here Monday.
"Increasingly, India's Look East policy is essential for the integration of the Asia Pacific region," Clinton said while addressing a gathering at the La Martiniere school here.
Clinton, who arrived here Sunday on the first leg of her two-day India visit, will be in New Delhi later Monday. She will meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee before leaving Kolkata.
