Hong Kong, May 7 (Xinhua-ANI): A carcass of a crested myna found on April 27 in Hong Kong was confirmed to be H5N1-positive after a series of laboratory tests, the city's Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) said here Monday.
The dead crested myna, which is a common resident bird in Hong Kong, was found and collected near Santa Monica Avenue, Royal Palms, Yuen Long.
The AFCD will continue to conduct inspections of poultry farms to ensure that proper precautions against avian influenza have been implemented. (Xinhua-ANI)
