New Delhi, May 6 (ANI): U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who landed in Kolkata today at the start of her three-day visit to India, will arrive in New Delhi on Monday afternoon.
During her stay in New Delhi, Clinton will call on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at his official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence at 6 p.m. tomorrow, which would be followed by a meeting with United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her 10, Janpath residence at around 7 p.m.
Clinton will meet External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna at the Mumtaj Hall of Hotel Taj Palace here at around 9: 30 a.m. on Tuesday. Both leaders will thereafter address a joint press conference at the Shahjehan Hall at the same venue at around 10: 30 a.m.
Clinton will then meet Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj at around 11: 15 a.m. before departing.
During her visit to India, she is likely to focus her attention on cross-border terrorism and the next steps to be taken in the India U.S. strategic partnership with the Indian leadership.
The AFPAK transition, the phased withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan after 2014, Hafiz Saeed and Haqqani network issues, the U.S. concern on Iran's nuclear programme are other issues likely to be raised during her visit to India. (ANI)
