London, Apr 26(ANI): England seamer Stuart Broad is likely to make a comeback from injury in next week's LV County Championship match for Nottinghamshire against Lancashire at Old Trafford.

Broad had injured his calf in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle last month and had to return home before the series-levelling draw in Colombo, The Daily Mail reports.

He also had to withdraw from the Indian Premier League campaign, and instead attend a rehabilitation programme.

His progress is believed to have been encouraging and England is optimistic he will be ready for two championship fixtures for Nottinghamshire scheduled to take place early next month. (ANI)
