London, Apr 22(ANI): Legendary English all rounder Sir Ian Botham had to rush to meet his critically ill mother in Yeovil, Somerset, avoiding celebrations planned for the end of his latest 150-mile charity walk getting called off.

Botham arrived at the Ham House in Richmond, London, yesterday after a 10-day walk from Glasgow to London to raise 25,000 pounds for Leukemia Research, The Daily Express reports.

He then hurried by helicopter to be with his mother, as his daughter revealed: "He finished the walk, as he was never going to let families down on his commitment, but couldn't stay for photos at the end." (ANI)
