Cheryl won't use 'Cole' as stage name

London, April 19 (ANI): Cheryl has confirmed that she has dropped 'Cole' from her stage name while announcing her comeback single and album.

She had adopted the surname after her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole.

This means 'The Girls Aloud' singer will simply be known as Cheryl on all future material.

Getting rid of her marital surname also confirmed that her relationship with the footballer is officially dead.

"Cheryl is beginning a new chapter in her life so she doesn't want to be associated with negative stuff from the past," the Sun quoted a source as saying recently.

The first track, 'Call My Name', will be out on June 10.

And her third solo album 'A Million Lights', featuring collaborations with Alex Da Kid, Will.i.am and Lana del Rey, is released on June 18. (ANI)
