Sunny, pleasant day in Delhi

New Delhi, April 13 (IANS) A cloudy morning gave way to a sunny yet pleasant day in the capital Thursday. Strong gusts of wind blew through the day and the maximum temperature dipped six notches below average at 29.7 degrees Celsius.

The day's minimum temperature however was three notches above average at 23.3 degrees Celsius

The humidity levels wavered between a high of 67 and a low of 40 percent.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the weather will remain pleasant in Delhi Friday as well and parts of the city may be lashed by rains Friday night or Saturday.

"The maximum and minimum temperature will hover around 35 and 22 degrees Celsius," said the IMD official.

Thursday's maximum temperature was 35.5 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season while the minimum at 19.6 degrees was a notch below average.
