Winner of US Mega Millions jackpot 'loses' lottery ticket
New York, Apr 7(ANI): The woman in Maryland, US, who said she had bought one of three winning tickets in last week's record 656 million dollars Mega Millions jackpot, is now claiming that she can't find it.
Mirlande Wilson, 37, had first claimed to have the ticket herself before changing her story to say it was in a safe place at an undisclosed location.
Then on Tuesday she stunned her colleagues at McDonald's by saying she'd hidden it somewhere in the suburban Baltimore fast food joint.
Now, the world's most famous McDonald's employee has said that she has lost it, incredibly claiming she hadn't even checked the uniform she was wearing the night she bought the ticket.
"I have no idea where it is. I'm not sure I have it," she told the New York Post.
"I'm still looking for it. I haven't even looked in my uniform pants yet."
"I'm still looking everywhere to find it, in my purse, everywhere," she said.
However, the Haitian mother of seven, hasn't even asked her children to start looking for it, despite them currently being on a spring break.
"I wanted to look for it, I was crying. She wouldn't let us. It's a lot of money," said her daughter Stephanie, 15.
However, Wilson sounds strangely serene despite its mystifying disappearance - leaving her fate to faith.
"It's a blessing from God. If it's meant to be, we'll [find and] claim the ticket," she said. (ANI)
