Hawala case: Ex-Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda gets bail

Ranchi, Apr 5 (ANI): Former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda was granted bail by the state high court in connection with illegal investments and a hawala transaction case.

Koda, who has been in judicial custody since November 30, 2009, was granted bail by the single bench headed by Justice H C Mishra.

Koda, who ruled the state between 2006 and 2008, was arrested by Jharkhand Vigilance Bureau officials from Chaibasa after the October 2009 countrywide raids by the income tax and enforcement directorate in 69 premises.

Koda is one of the main accused in the Rs 4000 crore money laundering scam. (ANI)
