Nigerian drug peddler arrested

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS) A 27-year-old Nigerian was arrested here for drug trafficking and cocaine worth Rs.24 lakh seized from him, police said Friday.

Arthur Ezenwa was held by police Wednesday when he came to deliver his consigment on the Outer Ring Road. Police recovered 24 gm of cocaine from him.

"Ezenwa came to India in June 2009 for medical treatment and his visa was valid upto November 2009. But he did not go back and started living in India," police said.

"Ezenwa wanted to start a textile business from India but he never did it. To meet his daily expenditure, he started trafficking cocaine in Delhi," said a police official.
