Justin Bieber sued by Texan couple after using their number for Twitter prank

Washington, Wed, 28 Mar 2012 ANI

Washington, Mar 28 (ANI): Justin Bieber is being threatened with legal action by a couple in Texas who became the unfortunate victims of a prank by the pop star.

Bieber randomly tweeted a phone number to his 19 million followers earlier this month with the caption, "Call me right now". But the number was missing the final digit leading his fans to guess what it might be. The tweet was later deleted, but the damage was done.

As a result, the Texan couple - Dilcie and Kent - claim their phones have been ringing off the hook non-stop and now they are threatening legal action in order to force the singer to pay for his actions.

According to Tmz, lawyers say that the couple's patience "wears thin" after receiving over 1,000 phone calls at all hours of the day and they now want compensation.

Suggestions from the legal team include concert tickets for Dilcie's grandchildren, an apology from Biever, an endorsement for Kent's upcoming online project and money for any out of pocket expenses. (ANI)
