St. Lucia (West Indies), Mar 24(ANI): Kieron Pollard's ton helped the West Indies secure a 42-run win over Australia in the fourth one-dayer at St Lucia.
Pollard smashed 102 off 70 deliveries as the West Indies piled up a score of 7-294 at the Beausejour Stadium, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The contributions of Andre Russell (34 runs off 32) and Darren Sammy (31 runs off 13) also helped the team.
Replying to the West Indies total, Australia could only manage to score 252 all out.ast bowler Brett Lee top scored for visitors with 59, that included five sixes, but Australia was dismissed for 252 and the Windies have taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match series, with one match remaining to be played.
Australia's chase started on a bad note as David Warner (1) fell in the second over to Dwayne Bravo and only David Hussey (57) could tackle Windies' bowling attack.
Sammy took 2-42 while Russell (2-34) dismissed Bailey and Michael Hussey (26) in the same over to effectively end Australia's hopes.
The West Indies now lead the series 2-1 with one match remaining to be played.(ANI)
