Katy Perry disguises herself in wigs to avoid paparazzi

Washington, Mar 20 (ANI): Katy Perry has disclosed that she wears wigs and hats to avoid being recognized by photographers.

The 27-year-old singer - who split from Russell Brand in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage - tries her best to shy away from her fame by donning disguises when she doesn't want to be spotted, but she says all the attention is a natural outcome of her celebrity status.

"I didn't really ask for that but it's just a product of all this. I deal with it when I'm working, but when I'm not working, they can 'f' off," Contactmusic quoted her as telling BBC Radio 1.

"I pop a wig on, some hats on, a granny knit and I go out of the kitchen. I do my best to be avoided when I want to be avoided," she added.

The 'Part of Me' hitmaker is looking forward to taking some time off to relax later this year after she is done promoting her re-released edition of 2010 album 'Teenage Dream' under the title 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection'. (ANI)
