Haddin's Test berth doubtful after second duck in Sheffield Shield tournament

Melbourne, Mon, 20 Feb 2012 ANI

Melbourne, Feb 20(ANI): Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin's future in the Test squad also looks bleak after he scored his second duck for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield clash with Western Australia.

His berth for the West Indies tour is already doubtful with Matthew Wade included as a wicket keeper in the Australian one-day side, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Western Australia defeated New South Wales by an innings and 323 runs at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground (WACA), with Liam Davis named the man of the match for his unbeaten 303.

After scoring just 91 in their first innings, the visitors fared little better in the second and were bundled out for 146.

At one stage, New South Wales was 1-54 in its second innings, but lost 5-19 to lose any realistic chance of taking the game into a fourth day.

Usman Khawaja (17), Watson (31), Haddin (0), Ben Rohrer (0) and captain Stephen O'Keefe (1) all fell quickly before tea.

Western Australia declared its first innings at 3-560, 469 runs ahead shortly before lunch, with Davis scoring a triple ton off 524 balls with 41 fours and six sixes. (ANI)
